How to Get Rid of Cellulite

Cellulite refers to fat just beneath the skin that looks like lumps of cheese. It usually accumulates on the thighs, buttocks, and stomach. Aside from being unsightly, cellulite can cause deformity of the lower limb as the curves of the ankles and the knees disappear. It can result in nervous pressure, which can be painful.

There are ways to get rid of those ugly cheesy lumps on your thighs, buttocks, and stomach. Some women resort to liposuction, a cosmetic surgery procedure wherein extra fat is suctioned from beneath the skin. This can be costly and besides, there might be side effects. To get rid of cellulite safely, consider these safe and natural ways:

Seaweed

Seaweed is known for its exfoliating and antioxidant properties. It helps get rid of toxins in the body and improve blood circulation. Here is how to use seaweed to remove cellulite.  First, mix three tablespoons of ground seaweed, one-fourth cup of sea salt, and extra-virgin olive oil. Massage the mixture for ten minutes onto the areas in the body where there is cellulite. Once done, take a shower.

You can also dissolve seaweed in your bathtub filled with lukewarm water. Soaking in the tub for 20 minutes will help you get rid of cellulite.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is rich in minerals such as potassium, calcium, and magnesium. These minerals have antioxidant properties and play an important role in getting rid of the toxins from the body and preventing water retention. This prevents bloating and formation of cellulite.

Prepare a mixture of one part of apple cider vinegar and two parts of water. For 30 minutes, rub the mixture to the areas with cellulite and rinse afterward. You can also wrap the area with cellulite using plastic and place a warm towel over the wrap for one hour. Then remove the wrap. Do this every day until the cellulite is gone.

Dry brushing

Using a body brush with natural fibers will promote blood circulation and remove dead cells. Before brushing your body, make sure that your body is dry. Start with your feet going up to your shoulders. Do the left side first then the right. After brushing your body, take a shower to remove dead skin cells. Do this once every day until you see the effects.

Cayenne Pepper

Cayenne pepper is known to burn fat because it is hot. As it heats the body, blood circulation is increased and metabolism is boosted. It also removes toxins from the body and is also known to prevent cellulite from appearing.

For better effect, consume cayenne pepper regularly. Prepare a drink with two teaspoons of cayenne pepper, one teaspoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice, and grated ginger in warm water and mix the ingredients well. Drink this once or twice a day every day for one to two months and see the effect.

Coffee grounds

Rough coffee grounds can help remove dead skin and help new ones grow. Make a paste out of ground coffee, melted coconut, and sugar. Massage the paste to the skin with cellulite. Apply pressure as you do this for several minutes and rinse.

You can also make a wrap using coffee grounds and olive oil. To prepare the wrap, heat for 20 seconds in a microwave oven the coffee grounds and add extra drops of virgin oil. Apply the mixture to the area with cellulite and place a plastic wrap over it. Let it stay there for 30 minutes. Then rinse using warm water. This must be done twice a week. Continue using until your cellulite is gone.

Green Tea

Green Tea is known to speed up metabolism and burn fat in the body by preventing the production of enzymes that absorb fat. Drinking green tea three times a day will help reduce cellulite. Instead of taking coffee in the morning, drink green tea. Make this a habit to see the positive results.
