Powerful and versatile massage guns are great. The only problem is most of these devices are also heavy. Good thing there’s the simple and lightweight Bob and Brad C2 Massage Gun.

This model has five attachments and speed levels like other massage guns. But its ultra-portable design makes it perfect for travellers and those with a limited range of motion.

Here’s a review of the C2 Massage Gun and its unique features.

Overview of the Bob and Brad C2 Massage Gun

Bob and Brad, the creators of the C2 Massage Gun, are physical therapists and online sensations with millions of subscribers.

On top of sharing physiotherapy content, they are also producing at-home products for better patient and athlete recovery.

As experts in health care, Bob and Brad ensure that these creations are not only ergonomic but also easy to use and affordable.

And their latest C2 Massage Gun is a good example. Because aside from being a functional device, it also produces intense but gentle vibrations.

It’s lightweight and quiet, too, making it ideal for small households, travelling, and people with low flexibility. This massager got every user in mind for sure!

A Closer Look at the Features of the Bob and Brad C2 Massage Gun

Simple and Light Design

After unboxing, I immediately noticed the neat briefcase-shaped carry bag. It has a soft fabric exterior, but the inner is hard casing material.

I like that this bag stays in shape and is durable enough to protect the contents. Inside is the product manual, USB-C charging cable, the massager and five massage heads.

Each part has its compartment, so packing and travelling with this device is safe and easy. Nothing gets lost either since everything’s in one place.

When I picked up the C2 Massage Gun, I was amazed by its weight. It weighs about 680 g (according to the manual), which I find surprisingly light considering its size.

The massager is not a mini type, but it’s smaller than most full-size massage guns. So, it’s somewhere in between.

I think this product dimension makes it more adaptable to most user types. It’s portable but not short of power or features.

I like how the device feels on my hand, too. Its handle coating is smooth, almost silky. It is also oval-shaped and thick enough for a secure grip, even with my small hands.

The Bob and Brad C2 Massage Gun is a mid-priced device. And I am impressed by its luxurious look and feel.

With the single-button operation, it’s effortless to turn the machine on/off or switch speeds. Also, I find the inset design helpful as I can hold and move the massager without accidentally pressing the button.

All in all, it’s very well made, easy to put together and travel-friendly without the steep price tag.

Powerful and Quiet Performance

How a massage gun performs is critical when choosing which device to get. And I have to say the overall performance of the Bob and Brad C2 Massage Gun is impressive.

Most massagers can give about 1750 to 3180 RPM. But this one, despite being mid-sized, generates up to 3200 RPM.

I like that it has five speeds, too. It gives me more room for adjustment, depending on the target muscle, without making the speed selection too complicated.

It also has about 15 kg of stall force. This aspect is the force needed to stop the device from revving away.

Its amplitude is around 8 mm. This feature refers to the distance of the massage head as it travels back and forth. So, the higher the amplitude, the more intense the massager feels against the skin.

And some users may find the 8 mm too limited, especially those who prefer deeper massages. However, I like the milder hits of the C2 Massage Gun best.

I even tried using it at levels 1 and 2, and I find these modes strong enough to relieve muscle tension.

But what about the noise? Is it too loud for gym use? Surprisingly, despite its size and all that force, the C2 Massage Gun is one of the quietest I’ve tried.

If I remember it right, the noise level is similar to Hydragun. But to be sure, I measured it and got 55 dB at max speed, which sounds like a normal conversation.

I have to say that it is a feat to have a quiet massage gun with as much power as the C2 massager.

So, no worries. You can use this massager anywhere without disturbing others or drawing unnecessary attention.

Versatile Massage Modes

Aside from the five adjustable speeds, the Bob and Brad C2 Massage Gun includes five interchangeable massage heads.

And considering that this model was created and designed by physical therapists, each attachment efficiently targets specific muscle groups. So, this one device got all potential problem areas covered.

For instance, the ball head is ideal for large muscle groups like your glutes and thighs. Alternatively, you can use the flat head attachment for other large groups like your IT band, pecs and plantar fascia.

On the other hand, the two prongs of the fork-like attachment are perfect for pains around the neck and spine.

But if you often encounter muscle knots, the bullet head can tackle them with high-intensity vibrations.

Finally, you can switch to the air-filled cushion head for gentler and more relaxing massages. If you’re a first-time user, I recommend learning more about these massage heads by reading the product manual.

Its visual massage guide should give ideas on how to use the device properly and which attachment to pick.

Aside from versatility, these massage heads are user-friendly, too. I had no problem attaching or removing them from the motor.

However, unlike the Hydragun Atom Mini, the C2 attachment set does not include heads with metal tips for cold massages.

Good Battery Life

Short battery life is a common issue with small-sized or lightweight massagers.

However, I’m glad the creators of the C2 Massage Gun included a powerful 2500mAh lithium battery in the final design.

That means it takes only 3.5 hours to charge and can work up to 4 hours, depending on use. Even better, it comes with a USB-C port and cable, making it easy to recharge practically anywhere.

This Bob and Brad C2 Massage Gun also has an intelligent chip to automatically shut down the device after working for 10 minutes.

Aside from saving battery, this feature also ensures you do not overuse the massager and harm yourself.

But it would have been better if it included a dedicated power brick. That way, you can load a spare battery into the device while charging the other.

Final Thoughts

Regular massage gun users will not be disappointed with the Bob and Brad C2 Massage Gun. It is lightweight, quiet and powerful.

With five speed modes and five attachment heads, it’s easy to have the best massage your body needs. Best of all, you can enjoy at-home massages with this fair-priced device.

Yes, it has some downsides. But then again, no massager is perfect. And I think its basic and unique features far outweigh the flaws.

If you’re a bodybuilder or a serious athlete, the C2 massager 8-mm amplitude may not be for you. However, if you’re looking for a portable and beginner-friendly device, consider buying this massage gun.

I also recommend this massager for fitness enthusiasts who need daily post-workout massages. The variable speeds and massage heads should take care of those knots and lactic acid build-up in no time.
