I’ve always been a fan of treadmills. Sure, they’re traditional and there’s definitely a lot of other gym equipment that can target specific muscle groups, but no matter how sophisticated other pieces of equipment are, I still go back to the good old treadmill.
There are a lot of treadmills out there – each varying in portability, number of cardio programs, inclines, and many other features. One of the products that truly outshine the others is the Endurance Athlete Treadmill. If you’re wondering why it’s one of my top picks as a treadmill user, read on for my full review.
Overview of the Endurance Athlete Treadmill
The first thing you will notice when you see the Endurance Athlete Treadmill is the large LCD screen. Yes, when I first saw it in person, I was impressed by how modern it looked – a sleek all-black LCD touch screen that has a stand for your iPad. Compared to the treadmills I used to have, this is by far, the most modern-looking. It looks a lot like a keyboard and when you’re adjusting the controls, you will feel hip and techy.
Of course, that’s just the pretty feature. The more important one is power and functionality. Fortunately, the Endurance Athlete Treadmill did not disappoint. It has at least 20 built-in programs that range from cardio, high-intensity, speed, endurance, you name it! You can choose from a number of programs and you can either stick to one type of program or explore the others.
You would expect that for a 20-program treadmill it would have a bulky and chunky appearance. However, the Endurance Athlete Treadmill is nothing like that at all. In fact, it’s foldable to a rectangular shape that you can store under your bed. You can store it upwards too and it has rollers and a stand to support it. I was honestly impressed by how the manufacturer designed such a user-friendly treadmill.
And if that wasn’t enough, the whole Endurance Athlete Treadmill is durable and solid. It wouldn’t be called the “Athlete Treadmill” if it couldn’t live up to the name. It has a wide enough ramp and a four-rubber cushioning shock absorption system. Even when I ran on it, the suspension is flawless and the whole treadmill was stable that I didn’t notice I was running on an actual treadmill. It doesn’t wobble too, so the stability of the treadmill is reassuring.
A Closer Look at the Features of the Endurance Athlete Treadmill
No Assembly Needed and Portable
Treadmills are relatively easy to set up, so you would think that a treadmill that doesn’t need assembling is not that impressive. Well, you’re wrong. The Endurance Athlete Treadmill takes portability to the next level by being ready to be used the moment it arrives at your doorstep.
The packaged arrived at my doorstep in a rectangular box, so I thought that the parts were all separated. When I opened the box, I found that there wasn’t any other part to attach because it was assembled when it arrived. The only thing I did was to remove it from the box, pull the stand so it’s perpendicular to the ramp, and then unfold the screen and handrails. In just three steps, I got my treadmill running.
If you want to stow it away, you put back the handles and the stand so the treadmill looks like a flat belt on the floor. You can push it under your bed with the help of the wheels attached to it or you can stand it by the wall. For this one, you don’t have to worry about it falling over because it has its own stand.
Many Built-In Programs
Most treadmills have built-in programs but do they have 20? In my experience, not all treadmills have that many. This is one of the reasons why I love the Endurance Athlete Treadmill. If you’re like me and you’re not a fitness guru and you use YouTube as your reference in your workout videos, then you’ll love this treadmill.
The Endurance Athlete Treadmill has programs that focuses on different types of workout – endurance, speed, cardio, and weight loss. It has a program for any fitness goal you have. I didn’t even realise that a treadmill can do those things. As you go through the programs, you’ll notice that they differ in the length of time it takes to complete the workout, the required speed, and the incline. Don’t worry, if a program is too hard for you, just can choose another one or adjust the speed on the screen.
Top of the Line Suspension System
The Endurance Athlete Treadmill has a great suspension system. While I’m no expert in suspension and the engineering behind it, I do know that it has 8 suspension points and 4 rubber cushioning. These are important because they will tell you how good the belt is for shock absorption.
You might not notice this if you’re walking on the belt, but if you are jogging or running, the suspension becomes more noticeable. For one thing, the shock absorption system is superb that it can take a fast runner’s impact on the belt. You won’t feel that you’re running on air, though, but the important thing here is that your feet don’t feel a pang whenever you put force on the belt.
Large Touch Screen LCD Display
I mentioned earlier that the large touch screen LCD display caught my eye. Even to this day that I use the Endurance Athlete Treadmill, I still find this feature to be one of the best parts of the treadmill. It’s not like your conventional LCD screen at all. In fact, it’s long and wide and it feels like a keyboard.
While some people would prefer to have buttons for ease of pressing, the buttons in the touch screen are large enough for you to not mistakenly press other icons. Moreover, the layout of the screen is so beautiful it looks like you’re looking at a dashboard. It shows you the time you’ve exercised, the number of calories you’ve burned, the speed, and other interesting data that it gets from your time on the treadmill.
Did I mention that it’s Bluetooth enabled? If you’re the kind of person who prefers to watch movies or to listen to music while you run, the tablet stand at the top of the touch screen will come very handy. The stand is secure and has a standard size to fit any generic tablet.
