Controlling your food intake and exercising are keys to successful weight loss. But doing these every day is easier said than done. Not everyone has the same level of discipline or willpower. Most of us need extra support to help curb hunger and protect us from those tempting savoury snacks and fast food meals.
Enter the PhenQ Complete Meal Shake. This low-carb food supplement contains whey protein and several other nutrients to replace one full meal. It also has digestive enzymes that break down carbohydrates, proteins, and fats for optimum nutrient absorption. It is available in chocolate, vanilla, and strawberries and cream flavours.

What is PhenQ Complete Meal Shake?
The PhenQ Complete Meal Shake has created quite a buzz online. I’m not surprised, considering its health claims and potential ability to help with people’s weight issues.
After doing some research, I learned that these are science-backed claims. The production team behind this meal shake used academic references and studies to choose ingredients that work and deliver results.
Its components help in appetite suppression and nutrient breakdown for better absorption, contributing to the weight loss benefit. These features explain why PhenQ Complete Meal Shake instantly built a strong following.
PhenQ Meal Shake Nutritional Profile
The PhenQ Meal Shake is nutrition-packed – 16 g of whey protein concentrate and 13 essential vitamins and minerals, to be exact. I also checked the product label. A serving of this meal shake (when mixed with water) can give around 184.75 calories and 1.47 g of sugar.
However, I also read some unknown ingredients I thought should be defined. That way, we can understand better how this meal shake works.
So, here’s what I found:
- Gluten-free oat flour has soluble fibre that promotes regular bowel movement, boosts heart health, and regulates blood sugar. It is also a source of complex carbs that curb hunger.
- Whey protein concentrate contains essential amino acids that hasten muscle recovery and build lean muscles. It also induces satiety or a feeling of fullness.
- CARB10™ comes from premium pea starch that enhances digestion and quells irrational hunger or cravings. It helps the body absorb complex carbs gradually to prevent blood sugar spikes.
- Flaxseed powder is a good source of dietary fibre and omega-3 fatty acids. It helps with weight management by promoting satiety or controlling hunger pangs.
- Vegan vitamin blend is a combination of essential micronutrients that boost the health of your body and brain. It mainly works for better physical and cognitive function.
- DigeZyme™ Enzyme Complex is a blend of five digestive enzymes (alpha-amylase, protease, lipase, cellulase, and lactase) that help break down macronutrients. As a result, they optimise carbohydrate, protein, and fat absorption for a healthier you.
This ingredient blend suggests that PhenQ Meal Shake primarily improves digestive efficacy so you can absorb nutrients better. In addition, its fibre and protein components keep you full for longer.
In short, it is a meal replacement shake that can give the best of both worlds – nourishing yet appetite-controlling.
How to Prepare the PhenQ Meal Shake
Preparing a glass of PhenQ Meal Shake is very easy. Just:
- Scoop. Add 50 g or one heaped scoop of powder to 300 to 400 ml of water or semi-skimmed milk in a shaker bottle or blender. Adjust the liquid based on your preferred meal shake consistency.
- Shake or blend. Give the bottle a good shake, or turn on your blender to mix, then enjoy!
Storing PhenQ is as easy. Reseal, then place in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.
Each bag of PhenQ Meal Shake is 700 g, which gives you 14 servings. The manufacturer says you can take up to 3 servings daily, but no more than that. Remember that this is only a food supplement, not a replacement for a balanced diet.
Note that PhenQ Meal Shake is not for people below 18 years and pregnant or breastfeeding women. PhenQ also recommends consulting your doctor if you have existing health conditions or are taking medications before trying the product.
Now that we know what PhenQ is all about, let’s move on to the good part: my PhenQ Meal Shake review.
Review of My 7-Day PhenQ Complete Meal Shake Experience
I picked up one bag of the product (with 350 g of shake powder) and tried it over 7 days to see if it made any difference to my body. Note that you get 700 g of PhenQ for every purchase of the product, but I only got half of it for the 1-week product test.
FYI, I previously tried another meal replacement shake brand called Optislim VLCD. I liked that it offered up to 6 flavours, and each serving came in individual packets or sachets so I could try a different flavour each day. However, I was hungry after a few hours and became easily irritated, and I didn’t quite like that.
So, in this PhenQ test, I was particularly interested to know whether all replacement shakes taste the same and if this product can keep me full. I also assessed it based on ease of prep, weight loss effect, and cost-efficiency.
Just a heads up, though. The body changes I mentioned in this review may not be the same as yours, given that weight depends on factors like age, gender, and physical activity. Still, my experience, suggestions, and notes might help you decide whether to give this product a go.
Ease of Preparation
The instructions on the packaging say to use a shaker bottle, so I did that the first time. Some lumps were sticking to the inside of the bottle, which is understandable – most shakes are like that.
I like to use a portable blender to blend my protein shakes, so I use the blender for the next 6 days. It is my preferred way of preparing as I didn’t have to shake the bottle manually. PhenQ dissolves in water or milk. I am lactose intolerant and enjoy full-cream milk. So, I used full-cream, lactose-free milk for my meal shake test.
I’d say PhenQ’s mixability is standard. Fewer lumps were sticking to my portable blender than when mixing in a shaker bottle. So, if you have one, I suggest using it for your meal shakes. A shaker bottle should be fine, but you should shake it thoroughly to clear as many lumps.
Taste and Mouthfeel
PhenQ offers three flavours – vanilla, chocolate, and strawberries and cream. I’m a chocolate lover, so I picked the chocolate flavour. I initially thought it would smell as sweet as the one from Optislim, but the smell of PhenQ isn’t as strong. It has a faint, sweet aroma that doesn’t remind me of chocolate. Taste-wise, it’s pleasant and does not taste artificial.
The texture of the shake was a bit grainy but still smooth to drink. The grainy texture doesn’t tickle my throat so it doesn’t bother me. I’m unsure if it’s because of the oats or flaxseed powder. I guess it’s because of the insoluble fibre in PhenQ, which is essential for a good bowel movement and a healthy gut. Its texture and taste remind me of the UP&GO™ Protein Energize Choc Flavour, but PhenQ’s sweetness is more subtle.
Overall, the meal shake taste and mouthfeel were pleasant. However, if there is one downside, that would be its tendency to induce flavour or taste fatigue. I got bored of its taste by Day 5. I could counter this effect by trying PhenQ’s other meal shake flavours. Purchasing PhenQ gives you access to their free E-guides and newsletter with recipe ideas.
If you plan to include PhenQ in your diet, particularly for long-term use, I think meal variety is even more crucial to avoid the taste fatigue tendency.
Health and Weight Changes
So, how was my experience with PhenQ, and more importantly, did I lose weight after taking it for 7 days?
Here are my day-to-day notes during testing.
Day 1
I prepared and drank the shake at 8:10 am and felt full immediately. It was a busy day, so I worked continuously and didn’t realise I skipped lunch. It wasn’t until 3:20 pm that I felt hungry. I have early dinner every day and start cooking at 4 pm, so I decided to deal with my hunger until then. I was very impressed that the shake kept me full for so long.
My previous experience with Optislim wasn’t like this, as I was starving within 2 hours. I supposed the Optislim one was more on calorie restriction, so my body went into hunger mode rather instantly.
Day 2 and 3
Like Day 1, I prepared and drank the shake in the morning around 8:30 am. The experience was the same. I only felt hungry at about 3:30 pm. However, I felt I was taking too many calories as the PhenQ meal shake is supposed to replace the main meal.
I eat much more during dinner than with breakfast and lunch combined. So, I decided to take the meal shake for dinner on Day 4.
Day 4
I had my usual breakfast (cereals and milk) and lunch (yogurt and fruit). Then, I prepared and drank the shake at 4 pm and enjoyed my dinner (the shake) with my husband (who had the usual dinner – chicken stir fry with vegetables and rice).
I savoured the taste and slowly finished the drink in about 15 minutes. I was full by the time I finished the drink. Even though my brain wanted me to open a pack of crisps, I couldn’t bring myself to eat them. I think this is a positive development, as I find it hard to break my habit of snacking right after dinner.
Even my husband noticed the changes in my appetite, especially for my favourite M&M McFlurry from Maccas or a piece of chocolate cake. I used to enjoy a serving of either to satisfy my sweet tooth, so he was surprised when I rejected his offer for an after-dinner dessert.
Days 5 to 7
I liked the effect of taking the PhenQ Complete Meal Shake for dinner, so I stuck with that habit for the remaining 3 days. I did snack and enjoy a piece of cake, but the portions were much smaller than my usual intake. Instead of the regular single serving, I took about one-third.
As for my favourite bag of crisps, I transferred some into a bowl the size of my hand and enjoyed only that much. I was already satisfied with that.
Overall, I’m pretty happy with this change. Now, I’m curious if there are any significant changes in my body, specifically in my weight and waist size.
When I started on Day 1, my weight was 56.2 kg. At the end of the test on Day 7, I weighed myself, and I was pleasantly surprised that I had lost 800 grams, weighing in at 55.4 kg. The weight I lost was also well within the ideal 450 to 900 grams (1 to 2 pounds) per week. My waistline was at 29.2 inches and ended at 28 inches, too.
As of writing, my weight has returned to 56 kg because I am back to my usual dinner but with minimal snacks. Nonetheless, I am very delighted with the results.
Cost-Efficiency
At the time of writing, the cost of one PhenQ meal shake serving comes to only $7.14, which is less than half the price of a standard full meal in Melbourne. It is an excellent bargain for a good-tasting shake that can keep me full for hours. I do hope they come up with more flavours, though.
You can also buy your PhenQ online with a one-time or subscription option. I suggest giving it a go with a one-time purchase and subscribing if you’re happy with the results.
Getting a subscription is a better deal as it takes 20% off of your meal shake order. PhenQ also offers the meal replacement shake with a worry-free 60-day money-back guarantee.

Final Thoughts About the PhenQ Complete Meal Shake
After just 7 days of taking this food supplement, I unintentionally lost 1 inch off my waist, dropped 800 g from my original body weight, and lost my cravings for large portions of desserts and snacks after dinner. These impressive results convinced me that PhenQ Meal is an effective option for managing caloric intake, inducing weight loss, and improving one’s eating habits.
I will surely buy this product, especially if I have an event to go to where I need to be in better shape, like a wedding. However, as I am within the normal weight range and usually have time to prepare balanced meals, I think I can make do without taking this regularly.
I do believe that PhenQ Complete Meal Shake is best suited for people who need considerable weight management assistance and dietary changes. It’s an excellent solution to acclimate the body to controlled food intake without depriving it of its daily nutrient needs.
Fitness enthusiasts who need to maintain their healthy weight or avoid unwanted weight gain will also appreciate this fantastic product. The nutrient-packed PhenQ Meal Shake is also perfect for busy professionals who often have less time to prep or eat a healthy meal.
Many of us often skip breakfast and binge on fast food for lunch. Some, like me, can’t help but crave and overindulge in desserts. If this sounds like you, why not feed your body a nutritious food supplement instead that can keep you going?
PhenQ Complete Meal Shake may be the answer you’re looking for to start making positive changes to your body and health.
